Michelle Lieberman is the founder and principal consultant of Genie Grants. She started Genie Grants in 2009 after having served as executive director of a nonprofit organization where fundraising was one of her primary responsibilities. As a former Executive Director, Michelle understands the both the challenges and satisfaction of working to achieve a vision, and she is well-versed in the inner workings of nonprofit organizations. 

Michelle's skills include excellent project management, communication skills, and attention to detail. She knows what it takes to get a project done right, with accuracy, and on time. Michelle’s background in journalism helps her to write clearly, concisely, and accurately while still telling a good story. She is honored to use her skills and talents to benefit the many excellent organizations in the California Bay Area and beyond.

Michelle lives with her husband and son in California, where she also teaches group fitness classes and helps lead a community dance team.
